What are rectified tiles?

Rectified tiles are ceramic or porcelain tiles that are made to a precise tolerance. This means they are cut to near exact measurements with a near perfect straight edge.

Made the same way as non-rectified tiles, rectified tiles are manufactured bigger than required. The edges are then ground or cut down with a diamond saw after the firing process. Rectified edges can allow you to use a finer grout joint, for a cleaner sharper look.
