Parquet hardwood flooring dates back over many centuries but was made famous in the French Renaissance by the captivating parquet de Versailles, installed within the Hall of Mirrors in the Versailles Palace in 1684. Originally made from small blocks of wood arranged together in a variety of eye-catching geometric designs including chevron and herringbone. The Berkshire Parquet Wood Effect Porcelain tiles are a modern-day alternative to this charming historical flooring, made from hardwearing porcelain in a 1000x1000mm format, an ideal choice for open plan layouts and modern day living. These extra-large floor tiles also benefit from precision cut rectified edge which will allow for almost seamless installation, whilst the water and stain resistance properties make them easier to clean and maintain.
